Globe Drill Consultant - Warren Strange

Warren Strange has over 34 years experience in the drilling sector. In 1996, Mr Strange formed the beginnings of what is now Globe Drill and embarked on a project to build drilling rigs that exceeded the competitor’s safety standards and production capabilities.

This project resulted in the development and production of the first hybrid production/exploration drill rig. This prototype, known as the KAL500, has become one of the most sophisticated drill rigs in the world with its unmatched versatility, economy and capability.

During the period from 1997 to 2007, the group manufacturing arm and eventually 'Globe Drill' manufactured ten more drill rigs. This fleet enabled Strange Drilling Pty Ltd (drilling/servicing arm of the group) to become one of the most highly respected drillers in Australia with unmatched safety and productivity records. Strange Drilling and a further five rigs were ultimately sold in 2007 for over $38 million.

Globe Drill (the manufacturing arm) remained, and in February 2010 was acquired by Coretrack Limited. Mr Strange is now consulting to Globe Drill on the design, construction, manufacturing and drilling operations of the GT3000 series.
