GT3000

Targeting geothermal exploration and production hole development, the GT3000 has been designed to fill the gap between traditional mineral and water boring drill rig capacities and the typical oil and gas drill rigs.
Prior to the introduction of the GT3000, a large diameter (6 inch or bigger) drill hole drilled deeper than 1,500m was not achievable without bringing in a large oil and gas drill rig which would typically cost more than $10,000 per metre in hard rock.
Twelve years of research and development and over 20 years of industry experience has come together to produce the GT3000 and this rig will set new industry bench marks for design, safety, power and capability.
GT3000 Features:
- The GT3000 can be adapted to be used in various energy sectors such as Oil, Gas, Geothermal, Mineral, Coal Seam Methane, Shale Gas and Water Bores
- A major advantage of the GT3000 is its ability to drill using both air and water hammer technology and then quickly convert to mud rotary drilling.
- The GT3000 can drill angled wells up to 60 degrees
- The GT3000's progressive pull-back force enables faster drilling at shallower depths for initial campaign efficiency.
- At greater depth, pull-back force is increased whilst feed rates are reduced enabling finer control over the bit weight.
- The rig has a 30” drill table opening allowing for up to 26” casing at the ground collar.
- Production holes can be drilled to depth with a finished casing size of 10 & 5/8”
